classic vw bus Afterlight

Hello! We are Willy (33), Fla (28) and our dog Margui (5). We travel in Doña María, a VW Bus year 84, Argentinian nationality, with boxer 1600 engine. We are Argentinians of Buenos Aires. Before going on the trip we worked in administration in the office, now we work of what we like, Willy with music and Fla painting and creating crafts to solve the trip.

We traveled mainly because we felt that life in the office was passing by very quick and we weren’t living it the way we really wanted to. Once we started going on vacation we couldn’t stop and every time we wanted to travel more. That’s why we’re looking for something that will take us to travel for a long time, get to know many cultures, meet people and landscapes, and above all to learn. We travel to learn from life and not to let it just pass by!

We do not have a fixed point to reach and no idea how long to it will take, we let everything flow and let the road surprise us!

What does the BusLife mean to you?

It means the freedom to have our house with a view of what we want, an immense garden that is the world. It means love and union between us, as it took us almost two years to condition it, we love our VW Bus!

What are the biggest advantages and challenges of living the BusLife?

We believe that one of the biggest advantages compared to other ways of traveling is that you always have your home with you, your bed, kitchen and your stuff. And another big advantage is the size of the VW Bus, you can park anywhere. You are just one more car!

Tell us your favourite destination you have travelled to so far?

We loved the Southern Highway in Chile, the paths with waterfalls, the celestial and turquoise rivers! AMAZING!

What’s your favourite thing about your VW Bus?

We like it a lot as we put it together, we feel very comfortable inside, we made it very warm and we like to spend time inside it!

What advise would you give to anyone starting a travel adventure in a VW Bus?

To all those who are thinking of going out and do not cheer, we recommend that they be encouraged, that there will be fears always, but those are the ones that make you learn. Once you take the first step you have a new world to discover and everyone has a different one. So no one can tell you, you have to go out and experience it!!
