nomadic lifestyle

We are Carolina and Facundo, Argentinians. Lovers of nature and outdoor activities. While we finished our studies as Teachers in Physical Education, we decided to give a change to our way of life. We wanted to live traveling. From that moment on, our dream began to grow. The year 2015, after a big effort, we managed to buy, our VW Bus model 82, which we named ODISEA. What has two meanings, it’s very representative of what we were living and what we wanted to happen.

– Series of penalties and difficulties that someone goes through to carry out something

– Long-term trip, full of adverse and favorable adventures.

There were many setbacks and difficulties to make it our House (mechanical, sheet metal, paint, interiors, etc.) But after two years and a few months of working April 22, 2018 at 22hs in Patagonia Argentina, our adventure began, we went out to tour the American continent!

Living traveling for us is the best way to enjoy and invest in our most precious treasure that is TIME. No one can tell us how neither when nor where to enjoy our life. We decided to live today and open ourselves to new places, cultures and values that make us grow day by day.   Breaking the rules, distancing ourselves a little from the system gave us the possibility to meet ourselves.

What does the BusLife mean to you?

It means FREEDOM. Freedom to know, criticize, unlearn, enjoy, love and live our way!

What are the biggest advantages and challenges of living the BusLife?

The main advantages are being able to park anywhere and discover places that very few have known. Enjoy nature, share with other travelers. And above all, learn to LIVE SIMPLE!

The challenges we face are learning to solve different situations on your own, to maintain a positive mind and not to fall into despair, when it comes to a difficult situation. Also to live the 24 hours of the day 365 days a year in a 2×2 environment, involves a work of tolerance, respect, love and companionship.

Tell us your favourite destination you have travelled to so far?

We are lovers of the sea and activities like surfing, free diving and spearfishing often mark our destinations. But it’s hard for us to pick just one. Our favorite sites, beyond the landscapes, are created by the situations or people that we meet, that make that experience, in every place in particular, MAGICAL.

What’s your favourite thing about your VW Bus?

Odisea our VW-Bus has a life of her own. She has the mornings and scars of a lady of almost 40 years, but the wisdom how to NEVER leave us adrift! Whenever she needs attention, she knows how to choose the exact place or time!

It is our refuge, our home, our work station and our feet on the road.

For all that, what we like the most at her, is what she makes us feel every time we look at her.

What advise would you give to anyone starting a travel adventure in a VW Bus?

I would tell you that just thinking about it is all you need! Making the decision is the hardest part. Once you leave the excuses and realize that the fears are only in your head, you start to enjoy the simplicity of life!

Let go of everything you weigh on them, grab what you need, your journey will give you much more than you can imagine!!

Set a positive mind and enjoy this beautiful world!
