My VW Bus is from 1975, it has a 1600 engine. I bought it here in the city of Santa Tecla, in El Salvador. I have it already more than 1 year and we have lived countless adventures together. For more than 10 months we started the Project of VW Bus Trip in which we want to make known how wonderful the world of VW Buses is and the people nearby who are also brand-loving.
I don’t know if we’ll travel all over the world, but we have the desire to see some Latin American countries and enjoy every kilometer of the road.
What does the BusLife mean to you?
It means family, which we share with many people around the world, we are joined by a passion for VW Buses and to get to know new places.
What are the biggest advantages and challenges of living the BusLife?
Well, the main is the mechanical break-downs that the VW Bus can have, in addition to traveling to unknown places and not knowing what people are like and whether there is crime or not.
Tell us your favourite destination you have travelled to so far?
The trip to Guatemala was the first one we made leaving El Salvador and that we are willing to make many more.
What’s your favourite thing about your VW Bus?
The color, because it becomes very striking for the people around us. They ask us for photographs and are climbing up.
What advise would you give to anyone starting a travel adventure in a VW Bus?
Carry everything you need like, gasoline, spare parts, food, tools, money, maps and a huge desire to know many places.
