We are Uruguayan Kombi travelers who in August 2018 went out to ride the routes of America with our dog, Manchita.
We travel in our Volkswagen 94′ Kombi panoramic model, air-cooled 1600 boxer engine. Over the last 2 years, we worked to transform it into our home, adapting it according to our needs. With our own hands, we converted it! We have our water reserve, sofa bed, kitchen with oven, refrigerator, closet, toilet, outdoor shower with hot water, and more.
We do not have a marked destination, we simply aspire to know as much as possible indefinitely. We self-sustain the trip through the sales of handicrafts and typical foods of our country.
Our mission is to expand our comfort zone, learn from each place and person we know, take a part of them, and leave our mark. We believe that the greatest learning is in the experience, and this lifestyle is a constant, changing experience that forces us to be flexible and to appreciate things in life that we often overlook.
We want to make many friends through this adventure and motivate others to be encouraged to experience life on the road. These VW vehicles are iconic and generate many friendships along the way, create links and sympathy in people that is why we choose the Kombi among the rest.
What we love most about our Kombi is all the energy we put into converting it to our liking. It is our home where we feel comfortable and safe. We would never want to change it. Every time we are away from her we miss her and wish to return to her shelter and home heat soon.
Buslife for us is a way of life where one is never alone and knows the solidarity of the people, there is a lot of empathy from the people towards us. In addition, the Buslife family is immense and every time we are more we join to live like this, one makes friends everywhere.
The setbacks are smaller compared to its advantages, the size of this model is also suitable for parking like any other family vehicle.
All the places we have known have impacted us for one thing or another, our America is so diverse and enormous that it always has something to surprise us with. In each country, we try to visit all its ecosystems and stay the maximum time that we are legally awarded.
If you want to embark on the adventure of living on wheels in a VW Bus you should know that you should not make plans, the trip always surprises you. The best is always to come, and even the things that seem negative hide their positive magic. Always keep in mind to have a mechanics manual and some basic spare parts to solve problems along the way. We are at your service to help in whatever we can.
