Hey we are Carolina, Cesar & Lupe

We are Caro (38) and Cesar (41) from Argentina. Seeking to change the demanding rhythm and routine of work in the office, we decided to make a shift in our lives. We decided to venture into the uncertain, the unknown, to let ourselves be surprised, to reconnect with nature and with ourselves.

So we added Lucy, a VW Bus from 1986 to our plan. We have been traveling for over 2 years, 7 countries, and more than 24,000 km with our VW Bus. In Ecuador, we found out that we were pregnant so we decided to travel a little faster to get to Mexico and have our baby there. So from Colombia, we ship the VW Bus directly to the port of Veracruz and leave for another time in Central America.

Our baby is born and for now, we are sharing time with her, learning to be a mom and dad. A new member was added to our traveling family!

Our life mission is...

To inspire people who do not abandon their dreams, whatever it may be, to work for them, to do so, to put all their energies, that dreams are fulfilled. Many times we put ourselves on barriers, excuses, impediments. To cheer up and break down those barriers. Happiness is found when you do the things you want and enjoy doing.

Our best Buslife advice

Uhh, it's difficult to choose only one destination. But definitely among the favorites are the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina, the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, the Paron Lagoon in Peru, and the active volcano El Reventador in Ecuador. And of course, San Cristobal de las Casas, in Mexico, which has sentimental value since we had our daughter here.

Life is cheaper economically, we do not pay taxes/services, nor lodgings. We do not go out to eat almost never, we do not have cable TV or wifi. We don't buy as many material things (clothes, technology, etc.), or think several times before we face expenses or just what we consider necessary. The truth is, we live with what we have and we're fine. Having FREEDOM... freedom to do the things that make you happy, to decide what you like to do or places to know, to relate to people and share moments, experiences.

The VW Bus is a slow car, you have to get used to traveling slowly and quietly, enjoying the road and without the rush to reach your destination. Also, that mechanical problems will probably happen, as in any other modern or old car. That you have to learn that it's part of the journey too. Finally, that plans change when you least expect it, that sometimes planning doesn't do much good. Be open and receptive to the circumstances that arise and know that sometimes wonderful and magical things will arise from those situations.

To coexist with your partner 24/7, you must learn to be more tolerant and respect each other. That's what we do!

It means living materially simpler, lighter, learning to value what we have and what we don't have; to value the places around us, nature, resources, the planet, and the people around us. To live more in harmony with all that. Enjoy the different landscapes that are presented to us, be able to take advantage of time in another way, not live so in such a hurry or watch all the time. Share with people from other countries, cultures, and dialects so diverse. Share typical meals, tour of the markets.
